"You're gonna love this morning," he said as he poured cereal in the morning. "You know I'm blind," I said groggily - I had yet to put on my contact lenses and was literally blind without them. "Well put on your glasses then!" he responded. I trekked to the bathroom, put on my contact lenses, and walked back out. As I adjusted my eyes to the light, I saw the fog rolling across buildings, the faintest colors of the trees painting the otherwise gray skyline. Before long, I had a camera in hand, tripod set up, and remote control setting ready to go...all in the fifteen minutes we had before we had to head out to work. And he was right.
