Steve and Annie traveled all the way from Florida to visit the Golden State. These two high school sweethearts started dating 8 years ago, and he had something very special planned for their trip across the country. He surprised her not only with a beautiful sunset proposal at Baker Beach, but also brought with him both of their entire families! Together with their families, they celebrated and popped a bottle of champagne, and even got an impromptu flash mob from a yoga group! What a day.

These two New Yorkers came to visit San Francisco for their 12 (!!) year anniversary! What a beautiful couple - we had the best time running along Lover's Lane in the Presidio. Moo and Jin met on a missions trip in Korea, and have been adventuring together ever since. These two were just laughing and smiling the entire time - he would whisper to her in Korean and she couldn't help but burst out laughing - I could photograph them forever!! Check out the rest of their anniversary session below!
Congratulations to these two Class of 2017 graduates, who graduated together and are now engaged! Gabriela and Jacob met at work, and then they fell in love right before they left for separate colleges. But these two were clearly meant to be, because here they are standing 4 years later with a ring on her finger and a wedding planned for 2018!
On our flight back from New Zealand, I was checking my email when I got a last minute inquiry from Ely and Tim, who had their first wedding anniversary coming up in a few days. It must have been meant to be - these two's anniversary was just a day before our own wedding anniversary, and we soon found out that we shared parallel love stories. Both high school sweethearts, avid Harry Potter fans, Bay area natives - plus she and I shared a background in design from UC Davis and careers in higher education - and he and my husband shared a background in political science - we clicked right away. These two came to their wedding venue - Nestldown - to revisit their beautiful wedding, reading wishes from guests and celebrating what a wonderful year it had been. Check out their anniversary session below!
Words cannot express what an amazing couple Sirjana and Ben of Tinted Photography are - this New Zealand wedding photographer husband and wife team has the biggest heart. Sirjana and Ben hosted us in their beautiful home of Cambridge, New Zealand, cooking us a delicious meal as we laughed over how we met stories. These two talented humans not only hold photography in their expertise, but also calligraphy, art, and graphic design - what a team! And they are so full of passion for couples - so if you're ever needing a photographer to go to, go check out their work! Before we had to say goodbye on our short trip, we just had to squeeze in a quick in-home session (they have the most gorgeous wood paneled ceilings!) and a few shots outside once the rain let up. To meeting new friends across the ocean!
When Anna Irene approached me before they got engaged, I laughed knowing exactly how she felt - so ready to start a life with the one she knew would be her forever. Only a few weeks later, I got the text "HE PROPOSED!!" and so we set out to capture their joyful, whimsical love with an engagement shoot just outside of the South Bay in a beautiful open reserve in Cupertino.
These two East Coast lovers had just moved into the foggy city of San Francisco a few months ago, and wanted to document their new home with an engagement session! With a fall wedding set in their hometown of Philadelphia, they wanted to catch a bit of that San Francisco magic with an in-home shoot followed by adventuring into the crashing waves and rocky shore of Sutro Baths.
Muriel & Christian had eloped at San Francisco City Hall, but didn't have any photos taken so we went and took an adventure along the coast to capture their beautiful love! Originally from Washington, these two just felt so natural in the rolling hills and crashing waters of San Francisco's coastline. What a dream session!
Three days before we boarded our flight to Scotland, I messaged a few photographers based in the area to see if anyone was free to hang. Rachel and Tonie responded right away, and before we knew it, we had a plan set to meet them in the UK! Rachel is a full time wedding photographer, and Tonie shoots with her while working as an engineer. They were such a fun couple to not only shoot, but just adventure with and laugh over the differences between photography in the UK vs America. We could not have enough good words about these two - if you're ever in Scotland, check their work out!
On our road trip through the Isle of Skye, we of course had to take self-portraits of ourselves with our Pulse remote! Luckily the weather cooperated with us as well, so I surprisingly did not freeze in this beautiful Asos dress that I was dying to wear. The epic landscapes of Scotland certainly made it easy!
